The Political Organisation and Participation (POP) Standing Group of the Australian Political Studies Association will be holding their annual workshop on the 26th and the 27th of November, 2020. The Workshop will be co-hosted by the University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology.

The POP workshop focuses on the study of both formal and informal political organizations and political participation. POP’s research remit includes political participation; activism; the media; political parties; interest groups; social movements; and deliberative democracy. Research on Australia or Australia in Comparative context is encouraged, but papers relating to the core research areas of POP are welcome.

POP aims to provide a constructive environment to present both research in progress and full papers. We also encourage publication of research findings through the research group’s blog POP Politics Aus.

PhD students and ECR’s will be prioritised for financial support.
